Welcoming Ron Butler and Jeff Swanson as Senior Designer and Senior Project Manager in Dallas

BKV Group has announced that Ronald Butler, Associate AIA, and Jeffrey Swanson, AIA, LEED GA, have joined the firm as senior architectural designer and senior project manager, respectively, bolstering a rapidly expanding Dallas practice site. Both will help lead the development group for the Dallas office, collaborating with partner and Dallas practice site leader, Jonathan Delcambre, in undertaking more complex, nationwide projects in the market-rate housing, student housing, commercial, and hospitality sectors.

With over 40 years of combined experience practicing architecture around the world, Butler and Swanson have worked for award-winning commercial architecture firms with a broad range of expertise. Both have also assisted with and led the design of high-profile buildings across the globe, executing sophisticated building and design systems that create dynamic and sustainable projects.

“We have been looking to evolve our design and project management leadership in Dallas, aligning with the personnel growth we’re seeing in the office, and the larger Dallas marketplace,” said Delcambre. “With a strong design vision for the Dallas practice site and Ron and Jeff now in place, we are creating a foundation of experience that can enhance our capabilities across sectors and grow our presence in Dallas and nationally.”

In addition to introducing developers to the efficiencies of BKV Group’s light gauge steel construction system and prefabrication process, Butler and Swanson will collaborate with Delcambre and other senior office leaders to cultivate a design-led culture, build upon client relationships, guide staff training and mentorship, and assist with marketing the firm’s full-service offerings.

“This is an exciting time for BKV Group in Dallas,” said Jack Boarman, founding partner and CEO of BKV Group. “The Dallas region is experiencing a major development boom, and in combining Ron and Jeff’s expertise with our firmwide portfolio of market-rate, student, senior, mixed-use, and affordable housing projects, we can explore new and greater opportunities with clients in the downtown core of Dallas, the outer rim of the city, and beyond.”

Having worked in Texas his entire career, Butler’s portfolio includes 15 years of experience, with a focus on urban infill and mixed-use multifamily, as well as experience in student housing, master planning, office, retail, hotel, educational, and municipal buildings.

With 28 years of experience, Swanson provides insightful experience on a multitude of architectural projects – from smaller adaptive reuse projects, to large multifamily, civic, hospitality, and office projects, including a portfolio of international work having studied and worked in London, New York City, Los Angeles, and Denver.

Butler holds a bachelor of science in architecture and minor in urban planning from the University of Texas at Arlington, and Swanson holds both bachelor and master of architecture degrees from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
