The Standard at Bloomington

As the largest off-campus housing development in Bloomington history, The Standard is the premier housing community designed to raise the standard of student living at the Indiana University. The project consists of three interlinked buildings uniquely located on a sloped site, creating a social, student-driven community featuring luxurious apartments and on-site, resort-style amenities.

The largest off-campus housing development in Bloomington history
The Standards’s building heights vary between four stories at the high point of the site, to six stories at the low point of the site. Internal circulation between the buildings occurs through elevated sky bridges at select locations that link the buildings together while also allowing the overall buildings to appear independent. Pedestrians can use an interconnected sidewalk system that links to the buildings as well as the adjacent pathways.
Luxury and student-centered accommodations
This project reflects local Bloomington traditions with familiar materials in a relaxed and playful manner, featuring warm woods and reclaimed elements that capture the nostalgic feel of college athletics.
