BKV Group partnered with NetSPI to reimagine their workplace environment, supporting their growth from 25,000 square feet to 50,000 square feet. This collaborative project was rooted in the development of a forward-thinking workplace concept study and a strategic change management plan, ensuring a seamless transition into their new office space within the historic Steelman building in Minneapolis’s North Loop neighborhood.
Through a series of interactive workshops with NetSPI leadership and employees, BKV Group captured the diverse interests, workstyles, and cultural fabric of the organization. These sessions revealed the eclectic personality of the NetSPI team and shaped a design strategy that prioritized their dynamic nature, innovation-driven culture, and the importance of creating an environment that inspires collaboration and connection.
The design concept drew inspiration from the rich diversity and vibrancy of the North Loop neighborhood—an area known for its unique blend of historic charm and modern vitality. BKV referenced the iconography of local businesses and spaces frequented by NetSPI employees to create a design that reflects the neighborhood’s character while aligning with the brand identity. This approach infused the space with a sense of place and community, creating a workspace that feels authentically tied to its surroundings.
BKV developed a comprehensive masterplan to enhance and rebrand the Steelman building’s interior for NetSPI. The upgrades emphasized:
BKV curated a suite of accessories, artwork, and interior landscaping elements that amplified the overall design strategy. These details added layers of personality and sophistication, reinforcing the connection to the North Loop while celebrating NetSPI’s brand and culture.
The redesign transformed NetSPI’s office into a dynamic, collaborative, and branded environment that not only supports their rapid growth but also serves as a catalyst for innovation and employee satisfaction. Rooted in the rich cultural tapestry of the North Loop, the space reflects the individuality of its employees while creating a sense of belonging and pride in their workplace.
