I am a mission-driven planner and designer who is passionate about caring for our nation’s elders. I have been active in senior living for 29 years. I am seeking to join an innovative and empathetic design firm that can contribute solutions to the growing challenges of senior housing. Of housing quantity, of affordability, of intergenerational reconnection to the communities they love, of the need for more flexibility, and of the growing care-giver gap. As well as the rapidly growing need for more memory support and acute care for aging Boomers over the next three decades. I am a backer of these efforts as a minority owner of an affordable senior living and home health provider. I was the most active participant in and later leader of a twenty-year long research endeavor called the Sleepover Project. I am a national speaker on senior living related topics. I enjoy assisting with business development and training others about the needs of our Elders. My core passion is working with clients and communities in the early stages of a project to help them synthesize their needs through workshops, programming, trends discussions, care model approaches and more. Then in helping them develop options in site planning, conceptual space planning and apartment mix. I am also obsessive about zoning and senior living state licensing regulation research.
