Woodlawn is LEED Platinum!

In November, BKV learned that Woodlawn was the first Fairfax County Government building to achieve Platinum certification!

BKV was the lead designer for Fairfax County’s Woodlawn Fire Station 24 which contains four drive-through apparatus bays to house two Medics, an Aerial, an Engine, an EMS Supervisor, and a modern decontamination and turnout gear facilities that will protect the long-term health of the firefighters. The County has been certifying their buildings for over 15 years and has about 42 certified buildings, and this is the first Platinum. This prestigious certification builds upon BKV’s legacy of sustainable design, and we congratulate all our design team members and our sustainability partner, Sustainable Building Partners, on this amazing achievement.
