Groundbreaking Ceremony of the new South End Fire Station in Winchester, Virginia

BKV attended the momentous event with this project designed by BKV with Pennoni as our Civil partner.

The station is the largest project the City of Winchester has commissioned in recent history and the first LEED project the City has undertaken. The design of the new station compliments the City’s historic urban fabric through the use of stone and brick which is common throughout the City. In addition, pieces of the existing station will be reused in the new fire station to honor the history of the department. BKV is excited to partner with the City of Winchester and Lantz Construction Company to bring this project to fruition!
