Project Architect II (Multi-family/Government)

Job Description

BKV Group seeks a talented Project Architect II with 5 – 8+ years’ related experience to join our team in Dallas, TX.  Ideally, we are looking for someone with well-rounded architecture experience in all aspects of design and documentation for Affordable and/or Market-Rate Multi-Family, Senior Living or Student Housing, and/or Government (City Halls, Community, Courts, Detention, Fire/EMS, Justice, etc.) project types.  Project related responsibilities include the following:

  • Consult with the Project Manager or Senior Project Architect to help determine functional and spatial requirements of new structures or renovations.
  • Work with the PM or SPA in planning the layout of projects and in preparing information regarding design, specifications, materials, color, and equipment.
  • Coordinate with engineering team members to assist the PM or SPA with the integration of engineering systems into a unified design for client review and approval.
  • Prepare project plans (scaled drawings) using computer assisted design software and equipment.
  • Support construction administration staff during building construction to help monitor compliance with project plans.
  • Receive project direction from the Senior Project Architect and/or Project Manager.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in architecture and professional registration required.
  • 5 – 8+ years’ related experience.
  • Proficiency with Revit, ACC and Microsoft Office programs required.
  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively and work efficiently with team members.
  • Certification or experience in sustainable building design a plus.

Compensation range: $90,000 – $100,000 annually, or commensurate with experience.
