Job Description
BKV Group seeks an Interiors Job Captain with 8 – 10+ years’ related interior architectural experience to join our Interior Design team in Minneapolis. In this position, you will assist the Interior Design Director or Senior Interior Designer by participating in all phases of project delivery, providing expertise in detail development, and working alongside and mentoring Interior Designers in the documentation of projects, code, technical drawings and interdisciplinary coordination. Ideally, we are looking for someone with interior architectural experience in all phases of project design and documentation for Multi-Family, Hospitality and/or Government project types. Project related responsibilities include the following:
- Organize and prepare complete and comprehensive interior architectural specifications and project details utilizing Revit for construction drawings and documents.
Conduct existing conditions surveys and prepare architectural base plans, sections, elevations and details as appropriate to document relevant conditions.
Review applicable building and accessibility codes and develop a list of criteria to be reflected in the design documents. - Coordinate the Interiors Revit model with each discipline for a complete and coordinated 3-D model and 2-D drawing deliverable as required at each phase of the project.
- Create 3D computer models using Enscape or similar programs.
- Assist team members with presentation material for client and other misc. meetings.
- Prepare construction documents including but not limited to: demolition plans; partition plans; reflected ceiling plans; telephone/electric/data plans; finish plans; large scale details plans; sections and elevations; detail drawings for millwork and cabinetry; schedules for doors, frames, hardware, architectural finishes and partition types; and construction specifications for all material, finish and product selections.
- Prepare bidding documents, general conditions and supplemental conditions that are part of the contract documents.
- Review and process all shop drawing/sample submissions and consult with the Director of Interior Design and other design leads as appropriate to ensure that the design intent is being maintained.

Qualifications
- Professional degree in architecture preferred. Technical drafting degree or equivalent certification also considered.
- 8 – 10+ years’ related experience
- Proficiency in Revit required; working knowledge of Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) and Microsoft Office programs.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work efficiently with team members.
Compensation range: $80,000 – $90,000 annually, or commensurate with experience.
