Interior Design Student Intern

Job Description

BKV Group seeks an Interior Design Student Intern to join our team at our Dallas practice site. In this position you would join a national, multi-disciplinary firm and gain valuable experience in various aspects of Interior Design, assisting project teams with a wide range of project types while learning in a collaborative team-based environment. This role requires at least a 16-29 hour per week time commitment, with up to 40 hours per week during the summer. Essential responsibilities include the following, and others may be assigned:

  • Manage the filing and organization of the resource library and schedule all meetings with industry product reps.
  • Assist with general office organizing or improvements.
  • Drafting using Revit.
  • Creating 3D computer models using Revit or similar modeling.
  • Assist team members with presentation materials specifications.
  • Render project elevations or perspectives using Photoshop, Revit or similar rendering programs.
  • Assist with industry research projects, studies or whitepapers.
  • Receive direction from Interior Design team members based on project tasks.

Qualifications

  • Must be enrolled in an academic Interior Design program.
  • Basic knowledge of Revit, Adobe CS5, and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, client and the general public.
  • Must possess excellent organizational and time management skills.
