Christina Pierson (Project Architect, Senior Associate) will be attending the AIA Women’s Leadership Summit taking place next week in Chicago. Christina has demonstrated her dedication, commitment and aspirations to BKV and her continued growth as a professional. She makes things happen in all the work she’s involved in whether it’s on projects or on committees.

Anca Ioana Gruita (Construction Administrator, Senior Associate) has also been selected to attend WLS. Ioana continues to demonstrate her leadership at a national level through her support of the Construction Administration team and the QA process.

Mahkam Hashemi (Architectural Designer) has been selected to attend the NOMA (National Organization of Minority Architects) Annual Exchange Conference in Baltimore at the end of October. Mahkam’s personal experience coming from Iran, moving to a new country. learning a new language, and balancing career and motherhood are all testaments to her continued resilience and motivation as a professional.

Each year, BKV invites designers from all disciplines to submit an application to attend these significant, industry-leading events, with the conference costs and travel fully funded in our continued effort to invest in our staff’s on-going professional development.
