BKV @ AIA MN ‘23

At the 2023 AIA Minnesota Conference on Architecture that took place in November, we had several BKV design team members have contributions to the show’s agenda, including four of our BKV team members.

1) Project Architects, Ellie Ziaie, was a Featured Panelist for the “Networking with Women in Architecture: Woman’s Search for Meaning In and Beyond Architecture” session, describing her experiences of designing for advocacy, community impact, and creative expression.

2) Project Architect, Tony Lopez, was a Session Leader for the “Excelerate Your Path Toward Professional Development with Spreadsheets” module that explains how Microsoft Excel can help architects make every AXP hour count toward their education and licensure goals, develop a business strategy, and effectively track billable hours and expenses.

3) Project Manager, John Stark, and Vice President of Engineering, Chad Kurdi, were Tour Guides walking conference through the BKV-designed Pillsbury A-Mill Artist Lofts – the award-winning live/work artist community that features studios, communal spaces, rooftop decks, lounges, galleries, and an innovative hydro power system using the nearby Mississippi River.
