BKV Group seeks a talented Mechanical Engineer II with 5-10 years of related experience to join our team. The candidate must have engineering experience in all aspects of design and documentation with leading edge multi-family housing, commercial and local government clients. This position represents the Engineering discipline in the current and future service development process and programs to serve the firm’s clients.

  • Responsible for mechanical and plumbing systems design including the following:
    • Load calculations
    • Ventilation calculations
    • Equipment selections
    • Air distribution systems
    • Hydronic Systems
    • Plumbing Systems
    • Code Evaluations
  • Provides leaderships and work direction for Engineers in Training and Designers working on assigned projects.
  • Responsible for Mechanical and Plumbing system modeling and drawing preparation using Revit.
  • Responsible for the design process coordination of the engineering discipline with the other discipline leaders on assigned projects.
  • Responsible for the technical accuracy and completeness of the engineering documentation for BKV Group on assigned projects.
  • Responsible for execution of work in an effective and efficient manner.
  • Confers openly and directly in a respectful and professional manner with other personnel to clarify or resolve problems and develop design.
  • Maintain appropriate records and files on assigned projects.
  • Maintain a free flow of communications with the Senior Engineer or Engineering Partner and the Project Manager on assigned projects, as well as other Firm members relative to the activities on assigned projects.

Qualifications

  • Professional degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering Professional license
  • Experience with Revit and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with Trane Trace load calculation software
  • Must have the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, and the general public.
