Interior Designer II – Minneapolis

Location: Minneapolis, MN
Experience & Education: Must have 4-year degree BS in Interior Design from an accredited college or university or equivalent. Professional Interior Design registration, licensed (CID). 5-10 years related experience. Sustainable design experience based on LEED criteria is a plus. Experience with Revit, SketchUp, Illustrator and Photoshop.
Position Overview:

  • Plans, coordinates and manages the project process for small to mid-scale projects including budget/scope and schedule.
  • Represents the project or practice as the primary contact for client interaction.
  • Confers with client to determine program requirements. Designer works with client to understand function, equipment, FFE and any other factors that will affect the planning of the project interiors.
  • Develops Visioning package for client to establish aesthetic direction and Interior Design Concepts for the project. Designer to communicate vision through use of imagery, renderings, and concept designs. Communicates Visioning package to project lead for review.
  • Integrates findings with knowledge of interior design and formulates environmental plan to be practical, aesthetic, and conducive to intended purposes such as raising productivity.

Project Architect – Washington, DC

Location: Washington, DC
Experience & Education: Must have four years’ college or university degree; or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Master’s Degree and Professional license. 5 to 8+ years related experience. Must be proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Position Overview:

  • Consults with Managing Architect or Senior Project Architect to help determine functional and spatial requirements of new structure or renovation.
  • Assists MA or SPA in planning the layout of project including determination of functional and spatial requirements and assists in preparing information regarding design, specifications, materials, color and equipment.
  • Coordinates with engineering team members to assist the MA or SPA with the integration of engineering systems into a unified design for client review and approval.
  • Prepares project plans (scaled drawings) using computer assisted design software and equipment.
  • Supports construction administration staff during building construction to help monitor compliance with project plans.

Senior Project Architect – Washington, DC

Location: Washington, DC
Experience & Education: Must have four years’ college or university degree; or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Masters Degree and Professional license preferred. 8 to 12 years related experience. Must be proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Position Overview:

Location: Washington, DC
Experience & Education: Two to four year college or university program certificate or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 4-year design/architectural degree preferred, but not required. 1 to 4 years related experience. Skills required include basic knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe CS5 and Google SketchUp.
Position Overview:

  • Prepares project plans (scaled drawings) using computer assisted design software and equipment. Drafting using AutoCAD or Revit.
  • Supports project team during construction administration.
  • Create physical models using laser equipment or traditional model-making tools.
  • Creating 3D computer models using Google SketchUp or similar programs.
  • Assist team members with presentation boards and/or hand-outs.

Construction Administrator II – Minneapolis

Location: Minneapolis, MN
Experience & Education: Must have four years’ college or Associates Degree in Architectural Technology or Construction Management, or the equivalent education and experience. Minimum 4+ years prior experience required. CSI Certification and LEED AP preferred. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Position Overview:

  • Familiar with providing a variety of the field’s concepts to construction field superintendent.
  • Assists in outlining project plans weekly and setting project goals/deadlines with design team members for issuance of owner requested design change and or field changes.
  • Prepares transmittals, sends approved shop drawings to General Contractor, and uploads approved shop drawings onto file sharing software.
  • Logs Change Orders on BKV standard C.A. electronic Project Tracking file.
  • Receives related cost detail, logs on electronic Project Tracking file and sends to appropriate internal personnel for review and approval.

Interior Designer – Washington, DC

Location: Washington, DC
Experience & Education: Must have 4 year BS degree from an accredited college or university. Or, a two or four year technical college or university program certificate or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred that NCIDQ exam complete and licensed and registered Certified Interior Designer (CID). 2-5 years related experience. Must be proficient in AutoCAD, Revit and Microsoft Office Suite.
Position Overview:

  • Scope / Schedule/ Budget: Reviews project budget with Project Lead or Partner at start of project. Works with Project Lead to align tasks to be completed with available budget. Communicates scope and budget concerns with Project Lead and reviews budget status throughout the project.
  • Vision: Works with Project Lead to develop Visioning / Branding package for client to establish aesthetic direction and Interior Design Concepts for the project. Designer to communicate vision through use of imagery, renderings and concept designs.
  • Programming: Meets with client/project lead to determine program requirements. Designer works with client/project lead to understand function, equipment, ff&e and any other factors that will affect the planning of the project interiors.
  • Space Planning: Works with Project Lead to determine scope of plan development. Uses program knowledge to develop functional, innovative environment that will enhance the experience for the occupant.
  • Finish and Materials: Works with project lead to develop appropriate finish and material selections and implements an overall design palette that support the aesthetic goals, budget and functionality of the project.
